My area of specialization is hydropower and green hydrogen. I believe that a strategic blend of these two energy sectors can change the future of developing countries in the Asia–Pacific region, both economically and environmentally. My interest is in cross-disciplinary research in the field of renewable energy technologies for industrial adaptation. At present, I am focusing on developing an energy ecosystem for the transition towards a low carbon society in the Himalayan region. I am leading several projects to implement hydropower as the means for introducing green hydrogen as an alternative future fuel in Nepal. I serve as the Team Leader of the Green Hydrogen Lab at Kathmandu University. I hold a Ph.D. degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway.
